Hymn-a-thon

The first fund-raising event for the 2023 Choir Tour is a hymn-a-thon!  We will sing through the blue hymnal cover to cover—the first stanza of every hymn (not including the service music section at the back)—starting at 10 AM, ending sometime in the mid to late afternoon.  The entire day will be live-streamed; feel free to tune in or come join us at the church at any time! (On-street parking is available with placard.)

The following “sponsorships” are available:

  • $75 - all stanzas of a favorite hymn (from our blue hymnal)

  • $150 - all stanzas of a favorite hymn from another hymnal

  • $225 - organ improvisation on your favorite hymn

  • $350 per each of the following organ pieces:

    • Bach - Toccata and Fugue in d minor *SOLD*

    • Bach/Virgil Fox - Now Thank We All Our God *SOLD*

    • Elgar - Nimrod (from Enigma Variations) *SOLD*

    • Handel - Arrival of the Queen of Sheba *SOLD*

    • Widor - Toccata from Symphony V *SOLD*

  • $500 - ban a hymn for a year!

All requests must be made by Wednesday, January 18!

Donations of any amount gladly accepted.  No amount is too small or too large!  Donations and “sponsorships” may be in thanksgiving or in memory of someone(s).  Give online (select “Choir Tour Donations” from the fund list) or by check (to FPCP with “Choir Tour” in the memo).

All donations to the tour are governed by the Church’s giving policy.
