Please join us for Choral Evensong on Sunday, October 3rd at 4 PM. With its roots in the ancient monastic tradition, we are delighted to be resuming this meditative, early evening service. The service is sung mostly by the choir, with the congregation joining in hymns and prayers. The anthem at this service, “An Hymn to the Evening” by Richard Webster, was commissioned by First Presbyterian Church in memory of Ike Williams, faithful church member who sang for over 50 years in the choir and who died last year.
Currently, the city of Philadelphia mandates mask use in indoor spaces regardless of vaccination status. For those unable to attend, it will also be live streamed on the church’s website.
